Designing Cover for Regional Report on Forced and Coerced Sterilization

We are looking for one Online Volunteer who under the guidance of the Human Rights Advisor and in close collaboration with the communications team support us by producing 1 of graphic designs/art for the Asia and the Pacific Regional Report on Forced and Coerced Sterilization. Art suitable for a report cover that respectfully represents this human rights violation, particularly from artists from Asia and the Pacific and artists with disabilities, would be highly appreciated.

Survivors of forced and coerced sterilization in Asia and the Pacific are encouraged to apply. We are looking for an online volunteer to complete the work in March 2023.

The online volunteer, with expertise in graphic design, will work with UNFPA APRO to develop a report cover that respectfully and artistically represents the human rights violation of forced and coerced sterilization. The online volunteer will be acknowledged in the report, and will receive a certificate of appreciation from UNV.

Specifically, the online volunteer will

• Collect information on document/material background such as target audience, design style, branding guidelines etc.;
• Create draft design/art based on requirements and discuss with focal point/ communications team;
• Develop the design/art according to agreed requirements.

The design/layout should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteer in advance.

The Online Volunteer will have the opportunity to build connections with the human rights team at UNFPA APRO and learn about the ways in which graphic design can support the launch of this ground-breaking report and be part of advocacy for ending forced and coerced sterilization in the region.

Candidates should have professional experience in graphic design/art with previous experience in designing document layouts, and can have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications. A degree in graphic design, art or related field is considered an asset but not essential.
