Overview

Support UNIC Islamabad in designing communication products effectively.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master’s degree in graphic design, art or visual communication.
  • At least six years of proven professional experience with designing visual communications campaigns, publications, and educational tools for UN agencies.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, which includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Affinity Publisher.
  • Experience with professional photo editing.
  • Knowledge of working with Urdu fonts.
  • Fluency in English and Urdu is required.
  • Ability to work independently and in a coalition with team members.

Result of Service The role of the individual contractor will be to specifically support UNIC Islamabad in designing different communication products.

Work Location Islamabad

Expected duration October – December 2022

Duties and Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the UNIC Islamabad Public Information Officer, the individual contractor will be responsible for providing the design services.

Main areas of responsibility:

Design United Nations communication products like;

Transform text-based commutation into visual products; infographics, fact sheets, posters, social media posts etc., in Urdu and English.

Design promotional material for different campaigns.

Designing communication products in the Urdu language

Select and edit photographs for all publications;

Develop visual concept and design for:

Leaflets;

Backdrops, roll-up banners;

Invitations;

Ensure that all products are designed in line with UN branding policies and guidelines.

Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree in graphic design, art or visual communication Experience: At least six years of proven professional experience with designing visual communications campaigns, publications, and educational tools for UN agencies;

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, which includes photoshop, illustrator, Indesign, and affinity publisher

Experience with professional photo editing;

Knowledge of working with Urdu fonts;

Ability to work independently and in a coalition with team members. Language: Fluency in English and Urdu is required
