The International Volunteer Day (IVD) is an international observance that was mandated by the UN General Assembly in 1985. UNV coordinates a campaign to promote IVD every year, building on the impact volunteers have in communities, nationally and globally, for peace and development. UNV is also supporting Egypt government in its effort to organize the Conference of Parties (COP27) in November 2022, the provided support will intensify volunteers' contributions to the climate action and environmental health.
We are looking for an experienced online volunteer to support UNV Egypt promotional and communications efforts by creating visuals relevant to the COP27 and International Volunteer Day 2022. The online volunteer is expected to create visuals that complement our communications and social media strategy through preparing around 3 visuals a week, engaging visuals, short videos, etc. The developed messages will help the UNV Egypt social media profiles reach widely and be more visible for the audience.
The online volunteer will use the raw material provided by the UNV and other partners to create and curate interesting content for our social media channels. Tasks include designing, editing, creation and curation of relevant visuals alongside drafting messages and posts. The online volunteers will also help in brainstorming a narrative for a joint story of UN volunteers working for the COP27.
