This project is a collaboration with OCHA's Design and Multimedia Unit for International Women's Day, focusing on the contributions of female humanitarian workers in Afghanistan. Through your designs, we aim to highlight the significant roles these women play within humanitarian efforts, aligning with OCHA's mission to promote gender equality and support in crisis situations. Your work will contribute to raising awareness and appreciation for these women's dedication and resilience in challenging environments

We are searching for a skilled online volunteer with strong abilities in designing and creating illustrations to produce three engaging social media cards in observance of International Women's Day. These cards will highlight the critical roles and contributions of female humanitarian aid workers in Afghanistan. Your responsibilities will include:

Selecting and incorporating a quote on each card that epitomizes the resilience and hope prevalent among women in humanitarian roles. Working closely with our team to ensure that the designs are in harmony with our organization's branding guidelines and communication objectives. Providing timely updates through email and participating in virtual meetings as necessary to discuss ideas, revisions, and the final product. Being available for a designated period around specified dates (to be communicated after selection) for receiving feedback and making any needed adjustments.

**** Important Note: Candidates are required to submit a portfolio demonstrating previous design samples, available either through a website link or as a PDF document. ****

We accommodate communication in multiple languages, offering the option to correspond with us in English, Arabic, French, or Spanish, based on your preference.

Strong understanding of cultural sensitivities and the ability to portray subjects with respect and dignity. Ability to work collaboratively with a remote team and communicate effectively in a virtual environment. Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for storytelling through visual design.
