The UNECA is mandated to promote the economic and social development of its member States, foster intraregional integration, and promote international cooperation for Africa's development. The Private Sector Development and Finance Division (PSDFD) of ECA is responsible for supporting member States in their endeavour to achieve sustained economic growth and transformation through leveraging the role and resources of the private sector with an emphasis, improving the business environment, increasing private sector investment in agriculture, infrastructure, energy, and services (Technology), and promoting innovative financing models. Innovative Finance and Capital Markets Section (IFCMS) of PSDFD works to enhance the capacity of member States to design and implement policies and strategies that promote innovative financing for developing capital markets to support private sector development and attract investment.
ECA/PSDFD is looking for one qualified online volunteer with strong IT skills to assist IFCMS in designing a monitoring dashboard to oversee (1) project implementation; (2) leave plan; (3) budget management. Under the guidance of Chief of IFCMS, the volunteer will work remotely. The selected volunteer will be offered a kick-off meeting to answer any questions he/her may have and IFCMS will agree to send updates at the end of each week, within a period of 3 months from the date of the induction meeting.
Work or volunteer experience in macro development; knowledge on Excel and VBA and experience developing dashboard. Relevant degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field is required.
