You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or similar.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a SharePoint administrator, designer, or SPO application developer.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well as SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office 365.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint tools, including ULS Logs, workflows, and SharePoint forms for tasks.
  • Superb collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience in providing training.

UNDP Timor-Leste Country Office (CO) is seeking to modernize its existing SharePoint Online (SPO) site through this online volunteering assignment. The SPO site has become primary tools for UNDP staff to access to SoPs, forms, corporate links etc., saving times and more productive to continue its efficient operation and missions towards the SDGs in the country.

The SPO serves as the central document repository and collaboration system for the Country Office, thus, the outcome of this online assignment and collaboration with Online Volunteers will see the fully functional SPO site for the CO that is functional, user friendly with proper knowledge of IT staff managing the site.

To that end, we are seeking the support of Online Volunteers with expertise and experience in managing SharePoint Online (SPO) site environment and providing relevant training to the IT staff from the Country Office for its sustainable functional use. The Online Volunteers will be supporting to review and redesign the landing page of the SPO site for higher usability, user friendly and easy navigation. In addition, the expert Online Volunteers will also support different units SPO’s subsites and perform training to the users on how to actively uses the SPO site to improve work efficiency.

Specifically, the Online Volunteer is expected to support in the following task: 1. Technical aspect - Review SPO site platform, integrating applications, and creating libraries, adding users, controlling access to document libraries, and setting permissions. - Modernizing the landing page to be more intuitive for the primary SPO sites, and other subsites with templates, quick access links, forms and SoP - Rearrange the sections and modules for better navigations. - Review and build automation to support the business processes. - Reviewing usage and activity reports and adjusting ensure optimized user-experiences including issues and malfunction. - Development standard procedures on the folder structures of the document library

  1. Hands-on training to end users & to other prospect admin (IT staff mostly)

- Providing SharePoint support and training to existing IT staff specifically on the SPO site management, monitoring, permission level.

The selected Online Volunteer will be required to be available for two (2) hours per week for an interactive session with the IT team. Expected start date: Week 1 of October 2023
