We are looking for a creative and motivated online volunteer to support our team with creating a logo for a new Working Group on Sustainable Environmental Management. The online volunteers will be asked to create a design for the logo which will form the basis for the visual branding of this Group. The logo should communicate one or more of the following notions: sustainability, environmentally friendly practices, climate change protection, human rights, responsibility, ethical behaviour – or anything that conveys the message that human rights and environmental protection go hand in hand. The final product should adhere to standard logo practices i.e. be legible in small and larger formats and include both a black and white and a colour version. The design should follow OHCHR’s general branding and be delivered in .eps and .png files. OHCHR’s brand book will be shared with the candidate in advance.

OHCHR has been working on the interlinkages between human rights and the environment for some time. We are now stepping up this work and conducting an office-wide effort to see how we can integrate sustainable environment practices in our daily work and actions – both in how we promote and deliver human rights work and in our day-to-day operations – and even in our personal lives. We want to position OHCHR as a leader on the right to a healthy environment to integrate sustainable environmental management into everything that we do. To create the necessary change in people’s mind-set, we plan to communicate frequently about the work of the Group and encourage colleagues and external partners to change their practices and behaviours. We need a visual identity to help us connect and engage with our audiences.
