JOB RESPONSIBITLIES

  • Oversee the development, management and implementation of the Project.
  • Lead all aspects of the implementation and management of the project, including sharing how the project contributes to the thought leadership of the industry.
  • Ensure the project is designed and implemented to meet donor expectations in terms of timely and quality results and budget, including strategies for phase out and sustainability.
  • Ensure coordination between program and operations leads.
  • Effectively manage programming and operations talent.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Minimum of 7years of senior-level management experience on donor-funded programs. Previous experience with management of USAID-funded programs is required.
  • Previous Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, or senior management experience in 2 or more of the following specializations: public health, GESI, , water sanitation and hygiene (WASH), private sector WASH, and/or related field in Ethiopia
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of USAID’s community- WASH/public health approaches and gender programming in Ethiopia.
  • Experience with NSAs, and community structure/platforms), and capacity building of CSOs and/or FBOs.
  • Proven exceptional leadership in the design, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of similar-sized international donor-supported programs, with skills in strategic planning and thinking, management, supervision and budgeting, and experience managing complex activities involving coordination with multiple program partner institutions.
  • Demonstrated skills building and maintaining relationships with host governments, donors, other donor-funded projects and stakeholders, local organizations, and partners.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Experience recruiting, developing, and managing local and international staff and teams.
  • Track record of strong commitment to sharing knowledge, documenting experiences, supporting creative initiatives, and sharing credit.
  • Experience managing required programmatic and financial reporting requirements. Experience with M&E is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in Amharic and English.
