These platforms include security briefings for newly arrived personnel, visiting Senior UN Officials (SUNOs), and other officials requiring operational or security updates.
Under the overall leadership of the Principal Security Adviser (PSA), the Online Volunteer will report directly to the Chief of SIOC or the delegated Cell Manager (either the Senior Security Information Analyst or the Senior Security Operations Officer) and will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Develop interactive Power BI dashboards to visualize security incident data and operational information.
- Design statistical graphs, charts (e.g., pie, bar, line), and spatial visuals for security briefings.
- Integrate data from multiple sources into Power BI dashboards and ensure data connectivity.
- Collaborate with SIOC Information to identify visualization requirements.
- Produce clear, professional visual outputs for senior management briefings and operational updates.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and visualization clarity.
Results/Expected Outputs: - Interactive Power BI dashboards and visual data products tailored to SIOC needs. - Enhanced visual representation of security data, enabling better situational awareness. - Improved capacity of SIOC Information to provide timely, data-driven products to the Security Management Team. - The development of capacity through coaching, mentoring, and guidance during the assignment. - Final statement of achievements reflecting the volunteer's contributions to Power BI and data visualization enhancement.
