SDG AI Lab is developing an online course for development practitioners, government officials, technology specialists and others to use frontier technologies for sustainable development and acceleration of the SDGs. The course is called “Data Science for Sustainable Development Goals” and includes several chapters of different subfields of Data Science such as Artificial intelligence, Natural Language Processing and Geographical information
The online volunteers will support the ongoing project Data Science for Sustainable Development Goals. The volunteers will work on the content enrichment of course chapter called "Data and Data Collection" with Python programming language. The assigned tasks may include but not limited to
Current course content review that includes code practices and theoretical explanations of the technologies such as Artificial intelligence and Geographical information
Improvement of theoretical explanations and codes
SDG AI Lab will support the volunteer as needed, with regular check-ins and maintaining collaboration through Slack and GitHub group repository. The volunteer will work under the coordination of the Technical Specialist of the IICPSD.
Bachelor’s in computer science, data science or related field with a strong interest in any of these: Data Analysis, Data Collection
