  • Strong knowledge/interest in technology and analytics
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage time with competing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Self-starter and a critical thinker that can work independently and drive projects forward
  • Experience in leading and influencing others
  • The ability to learn global humanitarian aid programming (e.g. supply chain, grant proposals, program design, procurement) quickly. Prior global NGO experience preferred.
  • French, Spanish, or Arabic language abilities at a conversational level or higher is a plus

Job Description

Technology and Operations supports the organization’s work by providing reliable and scalable solutions for the IRC’s offices around the world.

The Data Team at IRC is responsible for the design and delivery of data technology and data programs at the IRC. Our team is committed to high-impact results by encouraging relationships across the organization, driving continuous improvement, and delivering value through the implementation of high-quality, strategic data programs.

Major Responsibilities: ------------------------

Program Management

- Lead cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams across all phases of the data project lifecycle - Partner with process partners, business partners, and technical colleagues to drive implementation and ongoing improvements - Document and analyze organizational needs across multiple departments and translate them into program actions and requirements - Design and implement best practices and processes that enable teams to move quickly and efficiently - Continuously build and maintain clarity in program work plans, roadmaps, status, risks, and mitigation plans - Maintain program feedback, issue, and risk logs - Coordinate across cross-functional partners to identify constraints, dependencies, issues - Help create and foster a team culture of data and operational excellence - Develop training materials and communications that champion data programs

Data, Analysis, and Research -----------------------------

- Design simple and context-appropriate data collection tools and data visualization products - Maintain high quality standards by ensuring data is flowing correctly across systems - Lead documentation, time management, and completion of data collection and visualization technical work tasks by partnering with Developers - Lead testing to validate data integrity and data quality - Commitment to attention to detail and organization - Problem solve and fix data quality issues in a timely manner

Key Working Relationships: ---------------------------

- Data Team - Process Partners, Business Partners, data and systems focal points, data team, and technology colleagues - Decision makers and Operations leads in the IRC’s Regions and Programs
