Overview

Support data management and training for UNV Support Office.

You have:

  • Basic IT proficiency is required to manage data effectively.

  • Knowledge of Power BI or similar tools is preferred for data visualization.
  • Interest in international development is encouraged to understand the context of the work.

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Support Office is responsible for the administrative, contractual and financial management of over 300 United Nations Volunteers assigned to MINUSCA. This assignment is an important one, as it enables the UNV Office in MINUSCA to share updated data to the senior management’s decision.

The MINUSCA UNV Support Office Data is seeking the help of one online volunteer to support us to :

  1. Extract data from the UNV Support Office weekly report and translate sentences into various figures (tables, graph or any other useful tool). The aim is to enable quick and clear understanding of UNV support reports and data to the Mission in Central Africa Republic on a weekly and monthly basis. The HR Officer in charge of post management within the Support Office is your point of contact and available for any questions and to guide you along the way.

  2. Organize a capacity building training for the support Unit personnel to enable them to take over the tasks beyond the assignment period.

  3. Put in place a template to be populated by inserting data and that will automatically generate the figures to ease the work.

All the necessary documents and guidance will be share with the selected online volunteer.

Common sense, patience, basic IT proficiency, interest in international development, Knowledge in Power BI or any other data analysis and management tools, peacekeeping, partnerships.
