Who are we?

The Danish Refugee Council works in hotspots in 40 countries. Over the past years we have grown tremendously internationally. Successful ideation, development and benefit realisation from new and existing solutions are key objectives in DRC to ensure we continue to provide efficient security and protection to the people we serve. We balance this with our delivery of collaboration platforms for our colleagues to perform their tasks and collaborate globally irrespective time and place and a robust and expanding ERP platform in Microsoft Dynamics.

About the Job

You will be a key resource in the journey towards a data driven organisation. The chosen technology is the Microsoft tech stack with end user focus on Power BI for the presentation layer. You will work in a dedicated BI team where you will:

  • Be an instrumental part of creating and maintaining the DRC cloud data platform for BI
  • Design and implement data solutions based on business requirements
  • Build and support a global network of Business Analysts
  • Be part of the roll-out of Power BI Premium in DRC
  • Facilitate onboarding of new business areas and countries to the DRC data/BI solution

About You

To be successful in this role we expect you to have an Academic degree in Computer Science or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience as Data Engineer/Scientist or BI Specialist.

All employees should master DRC's core competencies: Communicating, Taking the lead, Collaborating, Striving for excellence, and Demonstrating integrity.

Moreover, we also expect the following.

Required:

  • At least 3 years’ experience within Microsoft BI and data
  • Thorough technical knowledge of backend and frontend data infrastructure
  • Knowledge of Microsoft's BI cloud stack
  • Show strong and inclusive interpersonal skills
  • Interested in collaborating closely with Business Analysts throughout the organisation
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

Desirable:

  • NGO-experience
  • Power BI expertise
  • Experience working in global and cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of French and Danish

Contract length: Permanent

Start date: When the right candidate is identified

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with agreement between the Danish Confederation of Professional Associates (AC-organisationerne) and the Danish Refugee Council. This is a national position for which local Danish terms and conditions apply.
