You have:

What we do

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) works worldwide to provide protection and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflict and armed violence. We take action in response to emergencies and, at the same time, promote respect for international humanitarian law. We are an independent and neutral organization, and our mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949. We work closely with National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and with their International Federation in order to ensure a concerted, rational and rapid humanitarian response to the needs of the victims of armed conflict or any other situation of internal violence. We direct and coordinate the international activities conducted in these situations.

Purpose

As part of the ICRC Logistics Division, the Quality Assurance Unit in Geneva ensures that the Pharmaceutical Establishment of the ICRC headquarters complies with the Swiss National Drug Regulatory Authority (Swissmedic) and the current European Good Distribution Practices guidelines (GDP).

The Data & Compliance Pharmacist collects, updates and archives data and documentation on suppliers and products. S/he is also responsible for cold-chain follow-up and providing administrative support.

Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities

  • Collects through suppliers, updates and archives GDP legal documentation: manufacturing and wholesale licenses as well as GMP/GDP certificates.
  • Collects from suppliers product CoAs, Certificates of Pharmaceutical Products (CPPs) and other documents required for import purposes and uploads to SharePoint.
  • Continually updates product-manufacture-supplier-license holder data in the ERP in use.
  • Releases or rejects products following a cold chain breakdown as well as archives cold chain breakdown reports.
  • Participates in the administration of supply chain and suppliers` complaints.
  • Participates in organization of supplier audits.

Relationships

  • Internally, interacts with logistics staff at headquarters and in the field.
  • Externally, interacts with medical suppliers.

Professional Experience required / Certifications / Education required

  • University degree in Pharmacy along with 3-4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (manufacturer or wholesaler), preferably in QA or regulatory affairs.
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical products and regulatory aspects as well as pharmaceutical regulatory documentation.
  • Previous experience in ERP systems (JDE, SAP, ORACLE).
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office.
  • Excellent command (spoken and written) of English; French is an asset.
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, and able to work independently as well as rigorous, well-organized, and accurate.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to read legal documents.
  • Beneficiary and client-oriented.
  • Strongly motivated by humanitarian work.
