Details

This assignment is in the context of the 2026 United Nations E-Government Survey. The main objective of this assignment is to contribute to data and case studies research for the 2026 United Nations E-Government Survey by conducting online assessment of national-level and city-level public sector portals, associated with the official websites of Asia region of United Nations Member States to be assigned.

The following countries are to be assigned in Asia region: Armenia, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Iraq, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Qatar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Syrian Arab Republic, Tajikistan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, Türkiye, Viet Nam, State of Palestine, Georgia, Cyprus

Successful candidates will each be assigned countries and cities based on their location and language proficiency.

Timeline and tasks: Immediate start Week 1: Immediate training, pilot assessment, and online data gathering (approx. 3-5 days total) Week 2: Assessment review (approx. 3-4 days)

Support to Online Volunteers: Coordination, monitoring and task related advisory and administrative support; recognition of volunteers’ contribution in the 2026 UN E-Government Survey, and volunteers receive certificate of completion.

**Please note that we cannot accept candidates who are currently Government employees or civil servants, or those working for government affiliated agencies connected to e-government services.

Candidates must be fluent in English and the official language of assigned country.

Research capabilities, analytical skills and IT skills are required.

Understanding of public policy, public administration and e-government is desirable.
