About the job

You will be a key resource in the journey towards a data driven organisation. The chosen technology is the MS tech stack with end user focus on using Power BI for the presentation layer. You will work in a dedicated BI team managing the challenging tasks of:

  • Lead the creation, maintenance, and use of data models, in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Building and supporting a global network of BI specialists
  • Drive adoption of core elements of Data Governance and Master Data Management
  • Deploying Power BI in DRC globally
    • Liaising with and facilitating onboarding new business areas and regional/country unis
    • Designing data solutions based on business requirements finding solutions to progress where data gaps are present
  • Ensuring that solutions are optimised for the Power BI Premium platform
  • Governance structures supporting optimal use of PBI – including user and data access management
  • Facilitating synergies in data modelling towards broader aspect of data and digitalisation both within the Power Platform and in other advanced and more explorative data use cases.

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to have at least 5 years documented experience setting standard for the role as Data Architect. You convey opportunities and constraints within your area of expertise to less technically savvy colleagues with patience and appreciation. You have in depth knowledge of technologies driving the digital transformation and guide colleagues and stakeholders toward successful application of them. You navigate seamlessly between key IT functional areas bringing enough knowledge on Information Security, IT Project Management, Application Management, Enterprise Architecture, IT Service and Operations, and IT Strategy development to liaise and engage across these critical IT contributions with ease.

Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required

  • Hold an academic degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5 years of professional experience in the role of Data Architect
  • Have strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Technical skills to act as accountable owner of DRC Data Architecture
  • Show strong and inclusive interpersonal skills
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Desirable

  • NGO-experience
  • Power BI expertise
  • Experience working in global and cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of French and Danish is desirable.

Contract length: Permanent

Workplace: Borgergade 10, Copenhagen, Denmark

Start date: When the right candidate is identified

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with agreement between the Danish Confederation of Professional Associates (AC-organisationerne) and the Danish Refugee Council. The position is at “specialkonsulent/”senior consultant” level. This is contractually a national position for which local Danish terms and conditions apply.
