Position: Data Analyst – Ukraine Analysis Hub

Reports to: Ukraine Analysis Hub Team Leader

Supervision of: None

Budget responsibility: None

Duty Station: Any NRC office in Ukraine (Dnipro, Lviv, Ternopil, Kyiv, or other) or remote

Travel: No

Contract type: National contract, full time

Starting date: ASAP, initial contract 6 months

Context

The ongoing conflict is resulting in significant humanitarian needs, particularly in the parts of the country which continue to suffer from regular airstrikes and shelling. The impact of the crisis is being felt on multiple levels, with the subsequent economic crisis further compounding existing needs and negatively impacting the living conditions of the population. There is a gap in understanding the severity of needs and scope of the humanitarian crisis at a more granular level.

Ukraine Analysis Hub

ACAPS’ Ukraine Analysis Hub provides impartial, independent, timely, and high-quality analytical products, which strengthen the evidence base for decision making and response programming among humanitarian stakeholders related to the crisis in Ukraine.

Overview of the role The Data Analyst will strengthen the quantitative analysis capacities of the Ukraine Analysis Hub through conducting regular data analysis and ensuring the quantitative data is analysed, processed, and communicated in a structured and efficient manner. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into decisions. The Data Analyst will work alongside the rest of the Ukraine Analysis Hub team in to improve current analytical processes, ensuring that analysis is methodologically appropriate and robust.
