Data analysis and visualization support in Power BI

The volunteers will be working under the thematic area of “Private Sector Engagement in Digital Transformation and Skills Development”. Their work will involve supporting portfolio initiatives such as the SDG AI Lab and Entrepreneurial Skills Development Initiative for the SDGs and Skills for Inclusive Future.

ICPSD is looking for Online Volunteers with experience in Power BI and data visualization. The volunteer will support the monitoring and tracking of various projects using Power BI dashboards. The volunteers will identify the dashboard requirements for each project and work with the team to develop dashboards.

The support tasks expected from the online volunteers will include:

1. Contributing to data acquisition, preparation, analysis, and visualization efforts.

2. Communicating with team members on details of each project and assisting in data organization.

3. Understanding the different needs of each dashboard and using suitable visualization skills for data display.

4. Creating fully functional, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing Power BI dashboards

5. Building a user-friendly bridge between data providers and data management platforms

6. 5 new dashboards need to be developed every two weeks based on the team's project needs, along with ongoing improvements and data maintenance for existing dashboards for power BI job

7. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

8. Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Desktop.

9. Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques.

10. Experience in extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources (SQL databases, Excel, APIs, etc.)

11. Ability to design and develop visually appealing and user-friendly reports and dashboards

12. Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with business stakeholders and IT teams.

13. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

14. Proven experience with as a Power BI Developer, Business Intelligence Developer, or similar role

15. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Microsoft Certified: Power BI are a plus.
