The Child Protection (CP) section in UNICEF Mozambique is working to improve how we track and follow up on HACT-related processes, including Direct Cash Transfers (DCTs), FACE forms, programmatic visits (PV), and audit actions. While information is available, it is currently spread across different tools and files. This makes it difficult to: • Have a clear and consolidated view of the status of each grant • Understand where transactions are getting stuck in the process • Ensure timely and structured follow-up The objective is to move towards a simple and practical system that allows the team to monitor the overall status of each grant in one place, combining financial, programmatic and compliance elements. To support this, the CP section is developing a KPIs tracking system and visual dashboard, and is seeking support to help structure, simplify and improve this approach.

We are looking for one (1) Online Volunteer who, under the guidance of the Child Protection team, will support the design and development of a simple KPIs tracking system and dashboard. Specifically, the Online Volunteer will:

Review and organize existing data and tools • Review current tracking files and data sources (DCT, FACE, PV, audit actions) • Support organizing and simplifying information • Identify overlaps, gaps, and opportunities for improvement

Support the definition of key KPIs • Help structure a small set of core KPIs, including: o DCT (pending, aging) o FACE (returns, delays) o Programmatic Visits (PV) o Audit actions • Support defining how to track: o process stages (e.g. submitted, under review, returned, finance) o bottlenecks (e.g. missing documentation, delays in review, etc.)

Develop a simple tracking tool (Excel) • Create a user-friendly Excel file including: o A grant-level overview o KPI tracking sheets o A simple action tracker • Integrate basic logic (e.g. overdue items, status, aging)

Develop a visual dashboard • Design a simple and clear dashboard (Excel or PowerPoint) to: o Visualize key KPIs o Highlight delays and risks o Support internal discussions and decision-making

Contribute to improving usability and innovation • Suggest ways to make the tool: o Easy to use and maintain o Clear and visually intuitive • Bring new ideas and creative approaches to improve the overall design and usefulness of the system

Expected Deliverables • A structured and user-friendly Excel tracking tool • A simple dashboard (Excel or PowerPoint) • A short guidance note explaining: o How the tool works o How to use it

• Experience in data organization, dashboards, or analysis • Strong skills in Excel • Ability to simplify and structure information • Interest in practical problem-solving and process improvement • Creativity and willingness to propose new ideas Experience in development, humanitarian work, or the UN is an asset but not required.
