Develop and deliver teacher training packages for primary education.
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of education/curricular subjects. Master’s degree is preferable.
- Strong experiences in developing teaching and learning material on curricular subjects.
- Strong capacity and experiences in developing training package (manuals, guidelines, handouts, tools) and training.
- Good experience of teaching curricular subjects in primary education.
- Strong communication skills in Dari, Pashto and English is preferable.
- Interested to meet multiple organization/personals to collect the ready-made resources/material for further review and use.

Job Description
1. Develop subject knowledge training package for primary education in consultation with teachers and relevant stakeholders. 2. Plan and deliver a 6-day teacher training on subject knowledge. 3. Pilot the 6-day subject knowledge contents and identify potential gaps. 4. Finalize the 6-day training package on subject knowledge in local languages by remediating the identified gaps. 5. Develop a comprehensive teacher training package focused on core curricular subject’s contents, knowledge and effective delivery of instruction. 6. Conduct a 1-2 days of orientation per key curricular subject to orient the teachers to key subject topics and objectives for the curriculum they are supposed to be delivering. 7. Review existing Teaching Learning Material (TLMs) on core curricular subjects in primary education (grades 1-6); 8. Landscape/desk review of the training packages and materials available with relevant stakeholders. 9. Support desk review of existing teacher training materials in developing a wholistic and harmonized 12-day training package. 10. Carry out other job related tasks as assigned by the Technical Director.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in the field of education/curricular subjects. Master’s degree is preferable. 2. Strong experiences in developing teaching and learning material on curricular subjects. 3. Strong capacity and experiences in developing training package (manuals, guidelines, handouts, tools) and training 4. Good experience of teaching curricular subjects in primary education. 5. Developing a concrete report of the whole efforts/activities and submitting to IRC education program 6. Strong communication skills in Dari, Pashto and English is preferable. 7. Interested to meet multiple organization/personals to collect the ready-make resources/material for further review and use.
