You have:
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience in working with civil society organizations or 1 year working with an INGO.
- Experience working with Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Excellent skill in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced English proficiency will be an added bonus.
- Fluency in local language.
- Relevant university degree (e.g. political science, international development, or economics) or equivalent professional qualification.

Overall purpose of the role
The role of CSO Partnership Assistant will be to support DRC in following the implementation of DRC-funded projects by Ukrainian CSOs. This includes review of documentation provided by each CSO, preparation of monthly overviews of CSOs progress and support in-person monitoring. S/he will work closely with DRC’s finance, supply chain and MEAL departments to ensure compliance with all DRC policies. The CSO Partnership Assistant will collaborate with DRC’s Capacity Building team in the implementation of this programme.
- Provides administrative or technical support within CSOs partnership area
- Assist the officer/coordinator in ensuring quality of the planning, implementation and follow up of activities
- Support maintenance of good relations with the local civil society organization (CSO) or non-governmental organizaiton (NGO) focal points, persons of concern, relevant stakeholders and other humanitarian actors, to support adequate implementation and coordination of DRC’s sector activities.
Sector responsibilities: CSO/NGO grants; multi-sector, life-saving interventions during crisis within the areas of food security (in-kind), non-food items, water, sanitation and hygiene.
Geographic scope: Area (Kyiv)
This role has an area focus and ensures compliance to DRC procedures and guidelines within the area. The role contributes to the development of area strategies, which are translated into action plans and day-to-day tasks. The role provides support and/or technical guidance to base operations.

Travel expected: Kyiv, Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts or according to the need
Main responsibilities
Programming & Operations
- Support efficient and effective programme implementation while following the work plan
- Review of documentation provided by each CSO
- Ensure close collaboration with DRC’s Capacity Building team on programme implementation
- Participate in preparing monthly/quarterly/annual highlights/reports
Project development
- Use projects tools, especially for tracking and monitoring of partner CSOs
- Support monitoring and evaluation of projects
Logistics/Finance
- Support the monitoring of financial commitments and expenditures against budgets
- Follow-up on procurements
Reports to: DRC Emergency Manager
- Length of contract: Until end of June 2023
