To support communications and visibility needs, UNICEF Greece seeks to hire an experienced Creative Producer – Videographer responsible for implementing and advising on content-related operations to ensure the inception and execution of creative content that supports CGO’s communications and advocacy objectives.

Under the close guidance and leadership of the Head of Communication the Creative Producer – Videographer will drive and facilitate the day-to-day planning and production of cutting-edge creative content that targets decision makers and the general public and drives action and change for children.

How can you make a difference?

The Creative Producer – Videographer will create compelling public-facing content, on various digital platforms, to draw attention to UNICEF’s work in Greece, encouraging public, government and donor support as well as participation and action. She/he will manage and implement the content gathering strategy, guidelines and standards on various mediums and above outlets to ensure UNICEF Greece interventions in the mainland and on the Greek islands are communicated effectively to build alignment around UNICEF’s identity, positioning, priorities and goals. She/he will be directly involved with campaigns and advocacy related content that crosses the full spectrum of work areas of UNICEF Greece with a special focus on the organization’s refugee and migrant response and COVID-19 emergency response.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Produces engaging video and photo storytelling content for social media channel;

• Produces photo stories and narrative human-interest stories;

• Organize and execute remote productions as needed utilizing virtual platforms.

• Manages production for UNICEF Greece online campaigns.

• Advises on visual storytelling from inception to final product delivery.

• Advises producers, videographers, photographers, editors on delivering compelling content.

• Advises on aesthetics of filming, photography and other assets.

Outputs/Deliverables

Work closely with UNICEF Greece government and NGO partners to promote emergency programmatic interventions on the field, create content relevant to this year’s World Children’s Day commemoration, as well as promote UNICEF’s work focusing on key programmatic priorities.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Excellent communications skills – listening, influence, negotiation/persuasion, counsel;

• Eight (8) years of progressively responsible and relevant professional work experience in visual storytelling with video and photography;

  • Fluency in Greek and English is required.

• Experience in working for UNICEF is highly desirable;

• Knowledge of international development issues a plus.

Management -Reporting

The said Consultant will be contracted directly by UNICEF and report to the UNICEF Communication Specialist.

The consultant will be based in Athens, Greece. S/he may be expected to travel occasionally.

All UNICEF rules and regulations related to travel of Consultants/ Individual Contractors apply.

Equipment

IT Equipment may be provided to the consultant, upon availability, to carry out the deliverables. Interested applicants are expected to have already the necessary IT equipment (lap top, mobile phone).

Timeframe and Payment Schedule

Fees:

Candidates are asked to indicate their required all-inclusive fees for the services to be provided, including lump sum travel and subsistence costs, as applicable.

Payment schedule: Payment will be made on a monthly basis, based on agreed deliverables and a submission of monthly progress reports to UNICEF by the consultant, upon approval by the direct supervisor. Monthly progress reports will be brief, produced in English and summarize key activities, achievements and challenges faced during the reporting period, priorities for the next reporting period, highlighting any support needs from or recommendations for UNICEF.

Deadlines regarding the deliverables are subject to revision depending on the date of recruitment.

UNICEF reserves the right to withhold all or a portion of payment if performance is unsatisfactory, if work/outputs is incomplete, not delivered or for failure to meet deadlines. All materials developed will remain the copyright of UNICEF and UNICEF will be free to adapt and modify them in the future.
