Overview

Assist in finalizing the situational analysis report through graphic design tasks.

You have:

  • Proven professional experience in graphic design, including creating document layouts and visual elements for reports and publications.
  • In-depth knowledge of graphic design applications.
  • A degree in graphic design or a related field is considered an asset.

As part of the United Nations Partnership for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNPRPD) programme’s inception phase, Sri Lanka has developed a draft situational analysis on the rights of persons with disabilities. This analysis aims to identify country priorities for funding, accelerate the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and advance the achievement of inclusive Sustainable Development Goals. The Online Volunteer's support in finalizing this report will contribute to the UN Country Team's efforts in effectively mainstreaming disability inclusion in Sri Lanka.

Under the guidance of UNDP’s Senior Technical Specialist for Social Cohesion and close collaboration with the UNDP communications team, the Online Volunteer will assist with graphic designing for the UNPRPD Situational Analysis country report for Sri Lanka. In particular, the Online Volunteer is asked to:

  • Collect information on document/material background such as target audience, design style, branding guidelines, and any specific design requirements for the report;
  • Create initial draft designs based on requirements and feedback from the UNDP with the focal point/ communications team;
  • Develop and incorporate visual elements such as infographics, charts, graphs, and other graphics to effectively represent data and findings;
  • Develop the final design according to agreed requirements, ensuring adherence to corporate design and language guidelines;
  • Design the overall layout of the report, including table of contents, sections, and annexures, ensuring it aligns with corporate design guidelines.
  • Discuss and finalize design drafts and layout of the report, incorporating all feedback.

The design and layout should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteer in advance.

Candidates should have proven professional experience in graphic design, including creating document layouts and visual elements for reports and publications. They must also have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications. A degree in graphic design or a related field is considered an asset.
