- Research skills to adapt COVID-19 messages for children.

We would like to design a 1-page (front and back) with awareness messages and games for kids and youth related to COVID-19 for the Iraq context (in Arabic). We have draft example content and messaging but we need a designer who can help us to design it in Arabic with games in Arabic. The working timezone is Iraq and the volunteer should be available for initial online discussion and then follow up via email for review and feedback. Task to be completed by end of November latest.

The project is focussed on rehabilitation of war-damaged housing in a rural location in Iraq which includes ensuring access to water and basic sanitation facilities to help mitigate the possible transmission of COVID-19. We would like to provide some fun messages for kids with some games that will help them to understand how they can help mitigate transmission and by extension, talk about COVID-19 with their parents. Once the draft is prepared, we will share it with a number of children/youth to confirm the messaging is well understood before finalizing.
Volunteers: 1 needed
1-5 hours per week / 3 weeks
The volunteer will need to have a background in design, and understanding of what is culturally appropriate to Iraq/the region and understand how to design utilizing the Arabic alphabet. May need to do a bit of research in relation to the most up-to-date COVID-19 messages from WHO that can be adapted to children/youth. Will be asked to help design games for kids in Arabic, examples to be provided (word search, crossword, maze).
