Raising awareness about the dangers associated with irregular migration has proven to be instrumental in influencing the decision-making process of individuals, as exemplified by a beneficiary from Addis Ababa University . Consequently, it is crucial to prioritize the dissemination of information about the risks involved in migration among the youth in Cameroon using the appropriate channels. Awareness-raising initiatives are very important when strategically designed to address specific concerns, such as youth migration, child migration and labor migration. Moreover, these interventions are most impactful when they are tailored to target groups that are considered particularly vulnerable or susceptible to risks, such as potential migrants. By adopting a focused and targeted approach, these interventions can achieve greater effectiveness in promoting informed decision-making and mitigating the perils associated with migration.
