The Corporate Fundraising Officer will contribute in realizing the ambitious Corporate Fundraising objectives. This person will report to NO2 Corporate Fundraising Officer and he/she will be based in São Paulo and will contribute actively in the implementation of the corporate fundraising strategy, especially focused on acquisition, and will work closely with the different areas to develop partnerships aligned to country office needs and objectives.

How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision of the Corporate Fundraising Officer and the technical supervision of the Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Officer is accountable for the accomplishment of the stated key end-results by providing professional expertise and assistance in fundraising, with a strong focus on the development of new partnerships, considering marketing-based activation as well innovative approaches for customer mobilization in order to generate sustainable and strategic revenues; ensure maximum profitability to implement UNICEF national and global goals.

Fundraising strategy:

  • With the coordination and leadership of the Corporate Acquisition Officer, establish Corporate Partnership plan with objective to increase flexible, sustainable, and predictable revenue as part of overall Resource Mobilization and Program Strategy defined by RM&P Manager.
  • Develop proposals and negotiate agreements for partnerships,.
  • Draft contracts with the necessary legal support.
  • Analyse the operational actions and needs and take the necessary steps to implement the programmes of each partnership agreement.
  • Manage all aspects of the implementation of the marketing-based campaign including development of materials, training, and communication and coordinate internally the implementation of the partnership, engaging all the necessary areas.
  • Ensure entire process of partnership development follows UNICEF guidelines including screening and proposal submissions.
  • Evaluate and analyse results of partnership to ensure strategies were adequate to goals planned

Partners Prospection:

  • Map and prospect business partners focusing on successful, solid and trend industries to generate income for UNICEF Brazil Country Office programs and needs.
  • Prospect and approach companies with potential for customers engagement and/or to activate special marketing campaigns (Kids day, Christmas, Mothers day) to match with the companies` granting and, as a consequence, increase UNICEF’s flexible revenue.
  • Articulate with the necessary areas and colleagues to develop and implement marketing-based and/or innovative campaigns to activate customer fundraising alliances and new ways/trends to engage more stakeholders.
  • Draft contracts with the necessary juridical support.
  • Report findings and results to supervisor making recommendations on optimalization and renewal, share lessons learnt and best practices.
  • Maintain an active relationship with the programme team and Marketing Services to obtain the necessary information and materials to present on the prospection of new partnerships.

Monitoring and evaluation:

  • Monitor progress of decisions and action plans based on outcome of items above;
  • Carry workflow of activities/maintains information flow in the absence of the supervisor.
  • Assist in the preparation of the office/region RM&P strategic, pipeline, budget and annual revenue forecast.
  • Prepare periodical fundraising reports, prospection income mapping, monitor and maintain control records.

Compliance with UNICEF’s rules and guidelines:

  • Screening all private partners and closing a proposal agreement as per PFP recommendations and guidelines.
  • Ensure the entire process of partner development follows UNICEF guidelines including screening and proposal submissions (DD1, DD2, and Opportunity) and uses UNICEF standard contract.

Administrative tasks: and responsibilities are effectively carried out and delivered. Effective record of corporate partners’ database and files, and companies will be contacted as per criteria match identified through research and confirmed with the Salesforce (5%).

  • Feed business’ files and records, filing information about companies and suppliers engaged on the alliance.
  • Support the NO2 with presentation, information and any other material that may be relevant for New Business plan.
  • Control income and expenditure for the alliances under your management.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • University degree in Marketing, International Relations, Communication, Business Administration or related fields.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant professional experience in Private Sector Fundraising, Corporate Alliances, Commercial Skills, Project writing and/or Marketing/Customer engagement.
  • Specialized skills in social Project, ESG, and/or Private Sector Fundraising are required
  • Additional years of relevant experience in the above-mentioned fields is an asset.
  • Experience in international organization is an asset.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese is required.
