Overview

Lead the Saker Falcon Task Force and report on conservation progress.

You have:

  • A minimum of 20 years of professional work experience in international species conservation and developing science-based policy is required.
  • Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
  • Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in an environmental related discipline.
  • Extensive experience related to the intergovernmental processes of CMS or another biodiversity-related multilateral environmental agreement is desirable.
  • Fully proficient computer skills, including standard PC software such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint are required.

Result of Service Advancement of the overall work of the STF including the workplan of its AMF Discussion Group in collaboration with the Raptors MOU CU. A report will be prepared for the next CMS Conference of the Parties, summarising the work undertaken, the outcomes achieved and proposing the way forward.

Work Location Home based

Expected duration 30 working days over 24 months.

Duties and Responsibilities 1. Contribute to the effective operation of the Saker falcon Task Force (STF) and its supporting bodies; 2. Lead the delivery of the Adaptive Management Framework Discussion Group (AMF DG) workplan; 3. Report to Raptors MoU and CMS bodies;

Qualifications/special skills Skills: Fully proficient computer skills, including standard PC software such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint are required. Academic Qualifications: Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in an environmental related discipline. A first-level university degree in combination with relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Experience: A minimum of 20 years of professional work experience in international species conservation and developing science-based policy is required. Extensive experience related to the intergovernmental processes of CMS or another biodiversity-related multilateral environmental agreement is desirable. Language: Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
