Provide coordination and administrative support to the Executive Office.
You have:
- Graduate or undergraduate degree with major in English (translation/interpretation), international relations, public administration or other relevant areas.
- 1 - 3 years of working experience in coordination and administration.
- Fluency in oral and written English and Chinese is required.
- Knowledge of an additional UN language is an asset.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; abilities to deal with different stakeholders.
- Ability to handle multi-tasks and work under tight deadlines.

Result of Service
The Coordination Assistant will contribute towards the following outputs: • Coordination and Administrative support to the Executive Office provided; • Simple correspondences properly drafted; • Simple translation/Interpretation services provided; • Official letters and speeches formatted according to standards; • Chrono files, archives and contact information in the Executive Office kept updated; • Ad hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor delivered.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the primary supervision of Executive Associate to the Resident Coordinator, the Coordination Assistant will undertake the following tasks: • Coordination and administrative assistance to the UNRC and Executive Office • Finalize and format official correspondences submitted to the Executive Office and coordinate approval • Provide simple translation/interpretation services when necessary • Support the chrono filing, archives and contact information database in the Executive Office • Complete other ad hoc tasks as requested by the office and/or supervisor
Qualifications/special skills
The ideal candidate should have a Graduate or undergraduate degree with major in English (translation/interpretation), international relations, public administration or other relevant areas; An undergraduate degree is the minimum education level required. 1 - 3 years of working experience in coordination and administration Experience with the UN, other international organizations and/or non-governmental organizations would be considered an asset. Ability to handle multi-tasks and work under tight deadlines Good communication and interpersonal skills; abilities to deal with different stakeholders
Languages
Fluency in oral and written English and Chinese is required. Knowledge of an additional UN language is an asset.
