DURATION OF CONSULTANCY: 11.5 months from the start date. The initial contract will be issued upto 31 Dec 2022 the contract for the balance duration will be issued subject to programme requirements, funding availability and satisfactory performance of the contractor

LOCATION: The consultant will be working from home, with intermittent reporting to office as necessary, and will report to the CCES lead in the Delhi office. Five trips will be provided for, for five days each, to any of UNICEF’s 15 state offices depending on the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

HOW TO APPLY: Your online application should contain four separate attachments to be uploaded under the specified place holders as directed on the online platform:

  1. Cover letter: it needs to highlight the most relevant experience and share at least one detailed example of previous experience in developing educational material for targeted audiences, preferably for youth age brackets.
  2. CV reflecting relevant experience and including three professional references
  3. The applicant is requested to submit ONE work sample developed in the last five (5) years that is relevant to the climate and environment sector. (to be uploaded under "Work sample" tab).
  4. A financial proposal as per template attached below. Please do not forget to specify your name in the file and include your signature, while saving. (to be uploaded under "Financial Proposal" tab).

Important please note: Please do not indicate financials anywhere else in the online application form, please mark "n/a or 00", under the fee related questions in the online application form.

All 4 documents are required to be submitted mandatorily, if there is any document missing then your application will not be evaluated further

The technical evaluation criteria (80 points in total) will be split as follows:

  • CV and cover letter demonstrate requisite experience and reflect minimum requirements (as listed in description) and whether they have preferred qualifications, as well (25/30 to qualify)
  • Writing sample demonstrates strong understanding of English and clear communication skills (15/20 to qualify): This work sample has to be a word document, and clearly showcase the candidate’s contributions and efforts related to the area of climate and environment. If a link to an online publication is submitted, the candidate must ensure that the publication is visible to the public in full; otherwise, the candidate will be disqualified. Submitted files can be in word or pdf formats only. Any detected plagiarism or falsification will immediately disqualify the candidate****.

Those who receive at least 40 points out of 50 on the above then are invited for an interview.

  • Interview (25/30 to qualify)

Financial Score: 20/100 points

Those who score at least 65/80 points in the technical review and also score the minimum cut-offs in all sub-criteria will have their financial bids reviewed.

  • Candidate receiving maximum score after combining their Technical Score and Financial score will be finally selected.

  • Any attempt to unduly influence UNICEF's selection process will lead to automatic disqualification of the applicant.

  • Joint applications of two or more individuals are not accepted.
