You have:

  • Minimum 10 years of work experience related to the 1972 Convention on the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage and UNESCO's normative instruments and programs in the field of culture.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the protection, conservation, or integrated management of World Heritage Cultural and Natural Sites in South America.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a trainer or university teacher on issues related to cultural and natural heritage protection.
  • Proven knowledge of cultural and natural heritage sites in Paraguay and related institutions.
  • Excellent command of Spanish.
  • Practical knowledge of English or French.
  • Ability to design and lead participatory workshops.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure high-level coordination and cooperation with internal and external stakeholders in a multicultural environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.

Esta iniciativa como objetivos: (i) fortalecer las capacidades nacionales para la implementación de la Convención del Patrimonio Mundial Cultural y Natural; (ii) implementar las Recomendaciones del Informe Técnico "Actualización de la Lista Indicativa de Paraguay"; y (iii) actualizar la Lista Indicativa de los bienes a incluir en la Lista del Patrimonio Mundial que Paraguay presentará a la UNESCO. Long Description En este marco, bajo la supervisión del Sector de Cultura y en coordinación con la Dirección de Patrimonio de la Secretaría Nacional de Turismo de Paraguay, el consultor seleccionado deberá: - Colaborar con la planificación y realización de una capacitación sobre la Convención de 1972 para la Protección del Patrimonio Mundial Cultural y Natural. - Revisar y comentar el inventario nacional priorizado de sitios con potencial valor universal sobresaliente. - Revisar y comentar la lista de sitios considerados susceptibles de ser incluidos en la Lista Indicativa y la nota de referencia que se presentarán a la UNESCO. **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** Educación: - Título universitario superior (Maestría o equivalente) en Arquitectura, Conservación Arquitectónica, Restauración Arquitectónica o áreas afines. Experiencia: - Mínimo de diez (10) años de experiencia de trabajo en vinculación con la Convención de 1972 sobre la Protección del Patrimonio Mundial Cultural y Natural y de los instrumentos y programas normativos de la UNESCO en el campo de la cultura. - Mínimo de diez (10) años de experiencia relevante en el campo de la protección, conservación y / o manejo integrado de Sitios de Patrimonio Mundial Cultural y Natural en América del Sur. - Mínimo de siete (7) años de experiencia como formador y/o profesor universitario en temas vinculados a la protección del patrimonio cultural y natural. - Conocimientos comprobables de los sitios de patrimonio cultural y natural de Paraguay, así como de las instituciones vinculadas a su protección. Long Description Habilidades y competencias: - Capacidad para diseñar y dirigir talleres participativos. - Excelentes habilidades de redacción de informes de forma independiente. - Capacidad demostrada para asegurar una coordinación y cooperación de alto nivel con las partes interesadas internas y externas en un entorno multicultural con sensibilidad y respeto por la diversidad. - Excelentes habilidades interpersonales y de comunicación. - Alto nivel de integridad profesional.
