OBJETIVO DEL CONTRATO: ------------------------- Apoyar en la implementación, coordinación y seguimiento a nivel local del proyecto, en particular con el Punto Focal Ecuador MAB y las Reservas de Biosfera (RB) Podocarpus-El Cóndor, Sumaco y Yasuní, pero también con el comité científico, y los actores clave para garantizar el seguimiento de las actividades acordadas en el plan de trabajo del proyecto y proporcionar apoyo continuo para entregar resultados de calidad de acuerdo con los plazos acordados. 3. ANTECEDENTES: ---------------- El Proyecto Amazonia, liderado por el Programa MAB de la UNESCO, tiene como objetivo mejorar la resiliencia y detener la pérdida de biodiversidad en la gran cuenca amazónica. La Oficina de Quito ha sido responsable de la ejecución de actividades en las reservas de biosfera de Ecuador en estrecha coordinación con el Proyecto Amazonia. 4.
