You have:
- Bachelor's degree in law, international studies, management, business administration, English language, or any relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in preparing and reviewing strategic documents.
- Experience in education, humanitarian and development work.
- Proven experience in writing reports and strategic documents.
- Excellent proficiency in computer applications including Internet, word processing, spreadsheets, databases.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- An advanced university degree in education, international development, social sciences, or related fields is desirable.
- Written and verbal skills in Arabic language are desirable.
- Graphic design skills are desirable.
Result of Service REPORTING
The hired consultant will directly report to the Chief of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Youth Division.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
The following conditions are to be observed: - The position will run on a full-time basis from 1 April 2022 to 31 December 2022. - Remuneration will be on a monthly basis; with a monthly salary of USD 1,200 - Payment will be released on submission of a monthly attendance sheet. - This post can be conducted remotely for those candidates who live outside Jordan

Duties and Responsibilities The Consultant will work closely with the Chief of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Youth Division in HQ, Amman, and will specifically:
- Supports the planning, drafting, editing and review of strategic TVET documents such as: i. Education Technical Instructions (ETIs) – these specify the operational parameters for the effective management of the programme. ii. TVET Code of Conduct – behavioral code for trainees in the Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) in line with human rights principles.
- Supports TVET HQ’s coordination with the Fields and the other Departments/Divisions at UNRWA HQ for the preparation of the strategic TVET documents.
- Provides inputs for regular updates on the progress of the SDC project.
- Contributes to the preparation of various written outputs, e.g., meeting minutes, concept notes, briefing notes, leaflets/brochures, etc.
- Supports communication and provide substantive assistance in planning/organizing meetings, video conferences and workshops, including proposing agenda topics and presentations.
Assists the Chief of TVET and Youth Division in any other tasks, as needed.
Qualifications/special skills - A Bachelor’s degree in law, international studies, management, business administration, English language, or any relevant field;
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferably with one year experience in one of the UN/ international organizations, in preparing and reviewing strategic documents such as reports, studies, concept notes, meeting minutes, etc;
- Experience in education, humanitarian and development work;
- Proven experience in writing reports and strategic documents;
- Proven critical thinking, creativity, and analytical skills;
- Excellent Proficiency in computer applications including Internet, word processing, spread- sheets, databases;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- An advanced university degree from an accredited educational institution in education, international development, social sciences, or related fields.
- Written and verbal skills in Arabic language.
- Graphic design skills.
Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook.
