Duration: 3 months

The specific scope of work are as follows-

  • Conduct a desk review, interviews and summarize findings
  • Develop a draft of the standardized curriculum
  • Deliver a final standardized curriculum

T****o qualify as an advocate for every child you will have:-

EDUCATION

  • An advanced University degree in Education or related discipline, Curriculum Development, Training, Drivers Education.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience i practicing in education, training or curriculum development.
  • Ability to effectively manage significant projects, producing agreed deliverables within specified deadline.
  • Experience in conducting training, programme development and supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Licensed Driver with a minimum of 5 years driving experience.
  • Familiarity with the Jamaica Road Code/Road Traffic Act 2018
  • Awareness of Safe Systems Approach, Driving Behaviour, Protective Devices, Defensive driving techniques, general knowledge of motor vehicle and motor cycle operation (asset) and the United Nation Decade of Action Pillars

RECOURSE:

UNICEF reserves the right to withhold all or a portion of payment if performance is unsatisfactory, if work/outputs is incomplete, not delivered or for failure to meet deadlines and completion of all mandatory trainings. Performance indicators against which the satisfactory conclusion of this contract will be assessed include: timeliness/quality of submission and responsiveness to UNICEF and counterpart feedback.

PROPERTY RIGHTS:

UNICEF shall hold all property rights, such as copyright, patents and registered trademarks, on matter directly related to, or derived from, the work carried out through this contract with UNICEF.

TRAININGS:

Consultants and Individual contractors, even those working from home, must complete the following online courses prior to signature of contract. All certificates should be presented as part of the contract.

Consultants and Individual Contractors must complete the following course before commencement of any travel on behalf of UNICEF.

Any consultant or individual contractor who is issued a UNICEF email address must complete the following courses no later than 30 days after signature of contract.

Individuals will be required to complete mandatory trainings after being awarded the consultancy and will be required to complete mandatory trainings, sign and submit key documentation and provide proof of health insurance before signing the contract to commence services.

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.

Consultants and individual contractors are required to certify that they are covered by medical/health insurance.
