Consultant, Staff coaching programme
1. Purpose of the position and Organizational Context
The WHO Regional Office for Europe (WHO/Europe) aims to “ensure a healthy, respectful and motivational workplace for all staff with the implementation of zero tolerance of harassment, and promotion of diversity and gender balance.”( European Plan of Work, 2020-25). With that purpose, WHO/Europe created a Regional Ombudsman Office in 2020.
The Office of the Ombudsman is implementing a programme to promote a Respectful Workplace through advancing Psychological Safety. Individual Coaching will be offered to supervisors and team members selected among WHO/Europe personnel, based on their interest and/or need to strengthen the competencies required for the above- mentioned goal.
In order to support the initiative, the Office of the Ombudsman is developing a roster of qualified external coaches to expand coverage of its coaching programme.
2. Description of duties
Under supervision of the EURO Regional Ombudsman, the consultant will:
- Provide confidential and individual coaching services to identified WHO/Europe staff on advancing a more respectful workplace and managing conflict.
- Organize and conduct group discussions on advancing a respectful workplace and managing conflict.
- Advise the Regional Ombudsman on any specific action that can be taken to advance Psychological Safety in support of a respectful workplace
3. Recruitment profile
Functional knowledge and skills
Educational qualifications
Required: Advanced degree in Psychology/Behavioural Sciences/ Business and Administration or similar. Diploma in Psychological safety, Emotional Intelligence, or Neuroscience. Desirable: Mediation
Experience
Required: At least 5 year experience as qualified coach, two of them in a multicultural environment Desirable: Previous UN experience Experience with online coaching and online training facilitation
Languages
Required: English Desirable: Russian, French.
4. Contract duration
The duration of consultancy is for 18 working days over a period of 6 months from 01 June 2021 to 01 December 2021.
5. Location
Activities are to be delivered on and off-site. Presence in the office may be arranged based on the need It is expected that all services will be offered virtually
6. Remuneration
Daily rate US$ 400 18 days over a period of six months for a total of UDS 7200.
