Support network services operations in a consultancy role.
You have:
- A university degree or master's degree in IT-related fields.
- A minimum of 7 years experience for a bachelor's degree in Cisco networking products.
- Experience in administering and troubleshooting Cisco networking products, especially in large Datacenter environments.
- Good knowledge of network routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.
- Experience with network switching and security.
- Ability to manage and configure F5 with two-factor authentication and web application firewalls.
- Ability to troubleshoot VPN implementations and network traffic analysis.
- Experience with automation tools like Python, Perl, Bash, and Ansible.

Duties and Responsibilities - Administrator - Supervising continuous operation of the Network in ICC Data Centers and partners operations. - High level of Managing and maintaining Network standard configurations and enhancements, installation and upgrade as well as assisting with the resolution of incidents and problems, and fulfils users request as a part of ISO 20000 established processes.
Deployment Team Member - Supervising final testing and deployment of Network and underlying services, and solutions as well as all related technical documentation. - Supervising network vulnerability and remediation and technical review related to ICT security initiatives.
Operational Support: - Providing high level on-going support at the T2 to ICC Network environment and related services and will participate in the automation projects and tasks for ICC and Partners.
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications/special skills MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A university degree or master's degree from an accredited educational institution in information technology information management, Information systems, computer science, computer engineering, Software engineering, Business Administration, Management, or other related disciplines.
EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience for a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years for a master's degree experience in administering and troubleshooting Cisco networking products, preferably in large Datacenter environment.
- Good knowledge and experience with network routing protocols like OSPF, BGP and MPLS
- Good knowledge and experience with network switching.
- Good knowledge and experience with network security.
- Ability to manage, configure and troubleshoot advanced F5 configurations with two-factor authentications implementations and improved security with web application firewalls.
- Ability to integrate F5 with products from other vendors and achieve high availability, security, and application performance optimization.
- Ability to update F5 to incorporate new features and bug fixes.
- Ability to manage, configure and troubleshoot Checkpoint Firewalls.
- Experience with Cisco ASA and/or Firepower Firewalls
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot VPN site-to-site implementations.
- Ability to perform network traffic packet capture and analysis.
- Ability to provide comprehensive analysis of different services and protocols like SMTP, HTTPS, and DNS
- Experience in shell scripting and automation tools (Python, Perl, Bash, Ansible…)
- Experience working within remote and virtual teams.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Cisco CCNA certificate
- Cisco CCNP Enterprise certificate or equivalent
- Checkpoint training certifications
- F5 training certifications
- install and configure network tools on Linux based machines.
- Knowledge of Cloud like AZURE and AWS
- Knowledge of Spanish

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
- The duration of the consultancy is 6 to 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds.
- Remuneration for this consultancy will depend on the qualifications and relevant experience, with a monthly rate starting from 2000.00 USD and depends on qualification and years of experience.
- The incumbent can be in any of UNRWA fields of operations (Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, or West Bank).
Overtime can be paid based on specific terms and conditions and should be pre-approved by the team leader.

UNRWA Information Management and Technology Department (IMTD) is seeking for Senior Network Administrator to support the global operations of Network services hosted at UNICC Data Centre’s and customers managed network. The selected candidate will join the T2 Network Operations team of UNICC.
The consultant will report administratively to Head Information Technology Service Centre at Headquarters Gaza and technically to United Nations International Computing Center (UNICC).
