Consultant – Scrum Master Specialist, Local (HQ Gaza);

Work Location Gaza

Expected duration 6 to 11 months

Duties and Responsibilities - Manage each project's scope and timeline, Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups. - Coach team members in Agile frameworks, resolve conflicts and remove obstacles. - Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration. - Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g., from clients or stakeholders). - Prepare the Product Backlog, and ensure that every team member understands goals, scope, and product domain. - Monitor project progress, provide timely feedback, and drive a culture of agility and learning. - Support the product owners in arranging and optimizing product backlog and organize scrum events as necessary. - Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications:

A university degree or master's degree from an accredited educational institution in information technology, information management, Information systems, computer science, computer engineering, Software engineering, Business Administration, Management, or other related disciplines;

Experience:

• A minimum of 4 years’ work experience for a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years for a master's degree in information technology and business Applications development; in which 2 years of experience in playing scrum master role and implementing the projects using various Microsoft technologies specifically on .NET development.
• Solid experience specifically on .Net and SharePoint, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Good experience and sound understanding of IT fundamentals and technologies pertinent to creating business solutions (software development and testing, architecture, applications, databases, integration)
• Sound knowledge and hands-on experience in all areas of application development life cycle and process tools.
• Sound knowledge of estimation techniques, design patterns, and awareness of industry trends.
• Employment history must demonstrate progressive levels of responsibility.

• Demonstrated experience presenting work to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Language:

• Good command of spoken and written English.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

• The duration of the consultancy is 6 to 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds.
• Remuneration for this consultancy will be 1,490.30 USD, and it will depend on the consultant's qualifications and experience.

• The incumbent will be based in Gaza.

  Additional Information UNRWA Information Management and Technology Department (IMTD) is seeking a Scrum Master Specialist who will be responsible for Helping software development teams apply the Scrum framework, Planning deliverables, helping teams monitor performance, and Resolving issues that hinder the teams’ work.

The consultant will report administratively and technically to Head Information Technology Service Centre at Headquarter Gaza.
