Overview

Design and implement release automation processes for IT solutions.

You have:

• University degree or master’s degree in relevant fields such as IT, management, or business administration.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience for a bachelor’s degree or 5 years for a master’s degree in release automation.
• 1 year of Dynamics 365 CE or Dynamics 365 Finance release automation experience.
• Expert in Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Expert knowledge of YAML.
• Knowledge of Power Apps and Dynamics 365 CE ALM.
• Experience in producing technical documentation.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Experience with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and Continuous Deployment (CD).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Expected duration - The duration of the consultancy is 6 to 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds. - Remuneration for this consultancy will be 1,800.00 USD, depending on the fund availability, qualifications, and relevant experience. - The incumbent can be in any UNRWA field of operations (Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, or West Bank).

Duties and Responsibilities - Design and implement release and deployment processes for Power Apps, Dynamics 365 CE, and Dynamics Finance solutions. - Contribute to building and deploying custom solutions (plugins, workflows, web resources, etc.). - Contribute and update release processes. - Automate release procedures. - Work with the focal points and vendors to resolve release and deployment problems. - Follow the Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes. - Contributes to technical documentation as required. - Perform other duties as may be required.

Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications:

• A university degree or master’s degree from an accredited educational institution in information technology, information management, Information systems, computer science, computer engineering, Software engineering, Business Administration, Management, or other related disciplines;

Experience:

• A minimum of 7 years of experience for a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 year for a master’s degree in release automation including 1 year of Dynamics CE or Dynamics 365 Finance release automation experience.
• Expert in Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Expert with Power Platform builds tools or similar.
• Expert knowledge of YAML.
• Knowledge of Power Apps and Dynamics 365 CE ALM.
• Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance ALM.
• Knowledge of Test automation.
• Experience in producing technical documentation.
• Must be technologically savvy, demonstrating the ability to easily adapt to new and unfamiliar technologies, software, and systems.
• Experience with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and Continuous Deployment (CD).
• Experience with test automation.
• Agile project participation experience.
• Good knowledge and sound understanding of IT fundamentals and cloud technologies.

Licenses & Certificates: DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION

• Relevant industry certifications, including ITIL.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Experience with infrastructure deployment automation.
• Experience with AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience with Atlassian Bitbucket pipelines.
• Experience with other CI/CD tools.
• Experience with web services and/or REST APIs.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• A high degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision.
• High level of personal integrity and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.

Language:

• Fluent in spoken and written English.

  Additional Information UNRWA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with United Nations International Computing Center (UNICC) to enhance livelihood and human development opportunities for Palestine refugees in Gaza. United Nations International Computing Center (UNICC) is a UN agency that provides IT services to other UN agencies on a cost-recovery basis.

  UNRWA Information Management and Technology Department (IMTD) is seeking a Release Automation expert with experience in the Power Platform to implement and support ongoing and new projects.

The consultant will report administratively to the Head Information Technology Service Centre at Headquarters Gaza and technically to United Nations International Computing Center (UNICC).
