Overview

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Economic Affairs Officer, Innovation, Enterprise and Investment Section of the Trade, Investment and Innovation Division, the responsibilities is to develop a draft FDI strategy and FDI attraction strategy that is trade enhancing, including the draft and develop and FDI attraction strategy that contributes to boosting exports from Uzbekistan to Asia and or Europe, the scope of which will be defined together with UZIPA include target sectors and priorities. The consultant is expected to draft a full scope of the strategy contents, develop the draft strategy together with UZIPA and ESCAP. The responsibilities are: (1) Develop a draft FDI strategy and FDI attraction strategy that is trade enhancing (2) Develop a go to market plan for selected sectors in the FDI attraction strategy

Qualifications/special skills

Recognized 1st degree, i.e. Bachelor´s Degree in economics, international relations, or related field Experience in working with IPAs Demonstrated experience on investment

Languages

The consultant should have excellent English skills.
