Result of Service The main deliverables of this consultancy should be in Arabic language and as follows: - A set of tools/questionnaires to guide the pre-intervention assessment. - An analytical report reflecting the quantitative and qualitative findings of the pre-intervention assessment. - Training content of the introductory two-day training on disability. - Training materials of the introductory two-days training. - Training content of the five thematic courses and related training materials. - Monthly progress report on the provision of training and the on-site or online technical support

Work Location Beirut

Expected duration The duration of the contract is for 9 months, starting from the signature date of the contract.

Duties and Responsibilities The selected candidate will support the implementation of the pilot project, work collaboratively with partners to build the capacities of the designated staff of the PHCCs, and carry out any tasks that may arise during the enactment of the project. More specifically, the consultant in close collaboration with the consortium will: - Conduct field visits to the project's locations and prepare relevant reports with key observations and recommendations. - Design and conduct a pre-intervention assessment on at least three PHCCs. - Analyse the results and use them for planning purposes. The assessment should capture the qualitative and quantitative performance indicators of the centers. - Design and deliver an introductory two-day general training on disability for the management and keys staffs of the selected PHCCs. - Develop training materials (PowerPoint presentations, handouts, case studies. Etc.) based on the developed training outlines. - Design and deliver thematic training on different types of disabilities - Provide on-site and online practical training bi-weekly for each selected PHCC. - Follow up and provide technical assistance to implement the pilot project (as the practice of the training sessions) - Document and report progress to the MoH, ESCWA, and partner NGOs.

Qualifications/special skills Skills: Experience in the area of disability inclusion. Experience in developing preassessment tools, training, including developing. Academic Qualifications: First level university degree (bachelor's degree or equivalent) in social sciences, public administration, education or related area is required. Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in the area of disability inclusion, early intervention, developing preassessment tools, training, including developing and delivering training workshops is required. Experience in delivering UN training programmes is desirable. Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this assignment, perfect command of written and oral English is required, and Arabic is a must. All training materials and provisions should be in Arabic.

Additional Information The consultant will work under the direct supervision of ESCWA Regional Advisor on Disability and in close collaboration with the project partners. The consultant will work out of the duty station and report to the office only when needed
