Provide specialized expertise in MS365 platform administration
You have:
- A university degree or master’s degree from an accredited educational institution in fields such as IT, information management, or computer science.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in IT and windows server environment, Microsoft 365 administrator, or related experience if holding a bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in IT and windows server environment, Microsoft 365 administrator, or related experience if holding a master’s degree.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Fluency in spoken and written Arabic.
- Experience with Active Directory, including group policy and DNS troubleshooting.
- Experience managing Microsoft Exchange, including Exchange 2013 or higher.
- Scripting and automation experience, such as PowerShell or VB script.
Result of Service The consultant will report to IMTD's Head Service Delivery Section. The consultant will provide specialized expertise in MS365 platform administration and ensure that sound security measures and controls are embedded in the platform.
Work Location Amman - Jordan
Expected duration 6 to 12 months
Duties and Responsibilities - Manage the Microsoft 365 tenant and all associated products, including, but not limited to, Exchange Online Protection, OneDrive, Intune, Multi-Factor Authentication, and SharePoint. - Implement and maintain Microsoft 365 infrastructure and solutions focusing on Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, MS Teams, Azure Active Directory, Intune, and EMS. - Administer and support Microsoft 365 Azure and Exchange policies. - Develop, Maintain and update M365 governance documentation with M365 product owners. - Responsible alongside a team for all email management and administration through Microsoft Exchange Online and Exchange 2013 hybrid environment. - Maintain On-Premises and Azure Active Directory environments, including Group Policies. - Maintain PowerShell scripts used to manage\support the M365 environment for multiple apps--Azure, SharePoint. - Partner with other workgroups/teams to integrate applications that support Microsoft 365 solutions. - Provide training on M365 solution offerings and IT orientation and security training. - Assists staff with troubleshooting complex technical issues experienced by internal and external users. - Provides system support and maintains uptime as defined within the IT acceptable standards. - Maintain a highly secure system through proper configuration and system access monitoring - Stay up to date on M365 changes MS releases around each M365 product, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, etc. - Administer and support system backup and disaster recovery processes. - Maintain and Understand subscriptions and licenses in Microsoft 365 environment. - Provides solutions and supports roles in Azure Active Directory such as Role-Based Access Control and Administrative units. - Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications:
- A university degree or master’s degree from an accredited educational institution in information technology, information management, Information systems, computer science, computer engineering, Software engineering, Business Administration, Management, or other related disciplines;
Experience: - A minimum of 5 years experience for a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years for a master’s degree in IT and windows server environment, Microsoft 365 administrator, or related experience. - Experience with AD, including group policy, sites and services, DNS and DFS troubleshooting, and configuration. - four years of hands-on M365 administration and troubleshooting experience, including supporting M365 applications in a corporate environment. - four years of hands-on management experience with Microsoft Exchange, including Exchange 2013 or higher experience - six years of Windows Server 2012 and above and Active Directory experience inclusive of Windows Server administration, Active Directory Administration, Enterprise Windows Server Patching, and vulnerability management - Scripting and Automation experience, i.e., PowerShell, VB script, and/or other scripting languages preferred. - Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Security using Active Directory, Azure AD, and M365 Online groups.
DESIRABLE CERTIFICATES: - Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert Certification.
Competency: - Project management experience implementing and maintaining Microsoft 365 solutions. - Work knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft IIS, and network concepts. - Work independently or as part of a project team and Self-starter. - Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Prioritize work and handle multiple tasks, both long and short term, simultaneously in a fast-paced, diverse, and growth-oriented environment. - Identify deficient processes/procedures and assist in developing and implementing solutions. - Maintain a high level of confidentiality. - Work independently and maintain composure and focus under pressure to meet deadlines - work a flexible schedule, including possible evening and weekend hours. - Demonstrate communication with all levels of internal and external staff and management.
Contract Conditions
¿ The duration of the consultancy is 6 to 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds. ¿ Remuneration for this consultancy will be JD997.30 (Grade 15 S1), depending on fund availability, qualifications, and relevant experience.
¿ The incumbent will be only Jordan. A minimum of 5 years experience in IT and windows server environment, Microsoft 365 administrator, or related experience.
Languages ¿ Fluent in spoken and written English. ¿ Fluency in spoken and written Arabic.
Additional Information The Consultant should identify, research, recommend, and implement solutions and applications that support the Information Management and Technology Department's (IMTD) current and future organizational vision and strategies. Expertise in MS productivity tools such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, PowerApps, and Flow is part of the daily workload. The Administrator will have a background in Microsoft 365 with a history of developing Microsoft 365 / SharePoint solutions and providing support services to internal personnel for complex, technical, and configuration issues related to M365 applications. The Administrator ensures effective use of existing applications and delivers new solutions on time and in high quality.
