In this context, coordination will need to be ensured with relevant services at UNESCO Headquarters and Field Offices. **Missions and tasks** The Individual Specialist should complete the following tasks: 1\. Provide technical assistance into the development and delivery of capacity-building activities in the framework of two upcoming projects to be launched in the course of 2023 in Saudi Arabia and Latin America and the Caribbean. 1. Providing guidance and expert input into the development of project activities including capacity building for sustainable approaches to cultural tourism and visitor management for the training of site and destination managers 2. Reviewing and editing Project documents as necessary. 3. Drafting guidelines and advice for the development of visitors management plans, building on international and regional expertise. 4. Drafting a concept for the development of heritage itineraries and promotional tools with a destination management and sustainable tourism approaches. 5. Participating in project coordination meetings and liaising with participating UNESCO field offices. Long Description ---------------- 2\. Participate in the final conference of the SmartCulTour project entitled "Rethinking tourism through sustainable cultural tourism" on 23 and 24 May, in Belgium by​​​​: ​ i. Presenting the results of the project and how it participated in a reflection on the role of sustainable tourism for culture. 3\. Expand and support the *UNESCO Sustainable Travel Pledge* with the Expedia Group including outreach to the hospitality sector and maintain partnership relations by: 1. Participating in outreach activities. 2. Promoting the Pledge with regional partners, especially in Latin America. 4\. Provide liaison functions with UN General Assembly (UNGA) entities and New York-based stakeholders concerning the implementation of a UNGA strategy on Culture for Sustainable Development and the protection of cultural heritage by: 1. Following-up in the organization and activities of the Group of Friends for the Protection of Cultural Heritage. Long Description ---------------- 5\. Support resource mobilization and outreach for initiatives on tourism, culture and sustainable development by: 1. Engaging existing and prospective donors including bilateral ODA, foundations and businesses. 2. Contributing to project proposals for donor support. 3.
