The findings of the MIL competency gap assessment will, among other things, inform a capacity building program for young people on Media and Information Literacy skills so they can engage ethically with information and media, mainly social media. Long Description ---------------- **The main tasks for the consultant are to:** - Design and apply appropriate assessment methodology, methods and plan, in line with UNESCO’s MIL Assessment framework; - Conduct a desk research on legal framework, policy documents, research papers, etc. related to MIL in The Gambia; - Liaise with the Ministries in charge of education, information and communication, and youth as well as other stakeholders, such as teachers’ training institutions, youth organizations and CSOs, to gather and analyse inputs on MIL readiness; - Draft a detailed report based on the findings and their critical analysis, with proposition of relevant policy or strategy recommendations, as well as operational actions for MIL development and implementation in The Gambia.
