Overview

Contribute to the design and production of eLearning modules

You have:

  • An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in a relevant area for the development of eLearning modules is required
  • A first level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional working experience in the field of pedagogy and/or animated design or production of eLearning modules is required
  • Fluency in English, with excellent drafting and communication skills, is required
  • Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in communication, innovation, and entrepreneurship is desirable

Result of Service i. Contribute to the overall production and implementation of the design, development, and production of eLearning modules. ii. Project management and execute the production of eLearning modules training content with a pedagogical approach. iii. Coordinate with the consultant responsible for the production process to test the modules and implement improvements. iv. Edit and publish module content, including final review. v. Collaborate with other project management activities and implementation of innovative solutions as required. vi. Provide active feedback for the integration of pedagogical and engaging elements to the storyboard and eLearning modules.

Duties and Responsibilities The role of the Consultant will be to provide substantive support to the Programme Management Unit in the following tasks:

(i) To contribute to the overall implementation of the programme throughout its deliveries; (ii) To design and develop eLearning modules in English with a pedagogical approach; this task will be carried out in collaboration with the consultant responsible of the production process. (iii) To contribute to the development of the story board based on the content provided by the SME and integrate review edits and feedback for the module content. (iv) To monitor, assess, identify solutions and report in which way the implementation of the project can be improved and assist the Programme Coordinator and the Consultant responsible for production in developing new innovative strategies and technologies

Qualifications/special skills An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in a relevant area for the development of eLearning modules (e.g. Communication, Pedagogy, Design), is required A first level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English, with excellent drafting and communication skills, is required. Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.
