Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.
And we never give up.
For every child, fair access to Education programs
The Consultant will provide technical and operational support for the implementation of four programs that help children access quality formal and non-formal education:
- The Reaching School Program provides cash assistance to cover the cost of transportation for selected eligible children across second shift public schools. This program addresses a key barrier to accessing education for vulnerable families.
- The Accelerated Learning Programme, a certified non-formal education program that targets children aged 7.6-17 years who have missed two or more years of formal schooling to help them re-integrate into the formal education (FE) system.
- The Internet Support Program (ISP) that will provide support for internet connectivity to vulnerable Lebanese and non-Lebanese children in selected middle grades across both first and second shifts public schools, addressing the financial challenge of vulnerable Lebanese and non-Lebanese families to ensure the sustained participation of their children in remote learning.
- Outreach and retention support activities that aim to identify children from vulnerable communities, enrolling or referring them to appropriate education programmes according to their profile (age, learning background) and following up on their retention in those programmes for completion and transition to other education pathways.
