Overview

Support development of private partnerships and fundraising initiatives in DRC.

You have:

  • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience in donor relations, resource mobilization, partnerships, programme management, or other relevant area.
  • Fluency in English and an intermediate level of French are required.
  • Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is an asset.
  • Excellent writing skills with evidence of proposal development writing highly desirable.
  • Experience with multi stakeholder partnerships is an asset.

Scope of Work:

I. Support the development and management of assigned private partnerships portfolio and development of new partnerships working closely with Programme and other sections at the Country Office, regional and HQ levels as well as with UNICEF’s network of NatComs

II. Supports fundraising and grant management including the development of funding proposals and donor reports working closely with Programme and other sections at the Country Office, regional and HQ levels well as with UNICEF’s network of NatComs

III. Supports the design and roll-out of the Generation Unlimited strategy in DRC working closely with the CO focal points

IV. Supports relationship building with key public and private sector stakeholders at national and international levels

V. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Work Assignment Overview

Support the development and management of assigned private partnerships portfolio and development of new partnerships working closely with Programme and other sections at the Country Office, regional and HQ levels as well as with UNICEF’s network of NatComs

Supports fundraising and grant management including the development of funding proposals and donor reports working closely with Programme and other sections at the Country Office, regional and HQ levels well as with UNICEF’s network of NatComs

Supports the design and roll-out of the Generation Unlimited strategy in DRC working closely with the CO focal points

Deliverables/Outputs:

• Support provided for the development/management of at least 5 private partnerships

• At least 15 funding proposals produced

• At least 15 donor reports produced

• Support provided for the development/implementation of at least 5 private partnerships related to the GenU initiative

Minimum Qualifications required:

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:

• A minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: donor relations, resource mobilization, partnerships across the public and private sectors, programme management, or other relevant area.

• Fluency in English and an intermediate level of French are required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.

• Previous experience of work with the UN/international entities would be an asset;

• Excellent writing skills with evidence of proposal development writing highly desirable.

• Enthusiastic and proactive attitude and strong relationship-management skills.

• Solid interpersonal and organizational skills, flexibility and an entrepreneurial spirit

• Experience with multi stakeholder partnerships is an asset
