Job Description

· Scope of work

The evidence-based intervention model created by the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) – called Attachment Vitamins – is proven to mitigate the effects of trauma and promote attachment by increasing the sense of confidence, competence, and connection in caregivers with children under the age of six. Participants will learn about child development and the impact of stress

and trauma, reflect on the child’s experiences and the possible meanings of the child’s behaviors, and promote secure attachment and safe socialization practices.

IRC Seattle will run two cohorts of the intervention –Dari speaking group in FY2022. Each cohort will be facilitated by the Dari speaking facilitator that will receive training on early childhood development and administration of the Attachment Vitamins program.

Family Wellness Program Manager oversees and coordinate the project with support from Jessica Dalpe, IRC’s Technical Advisor for Women's Protection & Empowerment.

The Dari speaking facilitator will be responsible for delivering the Attachment Vitamins intervention Dari speaking cohorts from April-September, 2022.. The role will be as described:

- The Facilitator will provide interpretation during the pre and post assessment interview that will be conducted by the Trauma Informed specialist.

- Conduct the weekly sessions of the two Dari speaking cohorts, each cohort will last for 10 weeks.

- The weekly sessions will be for 1.5 hours, 1 hour for prep work, and 1 hour for the consultation with the University of California Consultant.

- The Facilitator will ensure to address any technical issues faced by the cohort participants trying to join the sessions.

- Perform any other related duties as needed and in consultation with the Family Wellness Program Manager.

Deliverables:

The two Dari Speaking Cohorts are delivered successfully, each for 10 weeks, in addition to all the prep work which includes and not limited to helping interpreting during the pre and post interviews.

Payment Rate and Schedule:

Pay per hour will be between $25-27 based on experience

Qualifications

Requirements:

· Bachelor degree in social work or related humanity fields.

· Minimum two years of experience providing counseling and mental health services.

· Experience working with refugees and immigrants’ communities is a plus.

· Must speak Dari and Fluent in English.
