Duties and Responsibilities
The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) seeks to strengthen its understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices across the organization. CSR-related activities are currently embedded across areas such as governance, workforce management, beneficiary services, compliance, environmental responsibility, and organizational culture. While many of these activities already exist, they have not been assessed through a structured framework, resulting in limited visibility of strengths, gaps, and opportunities for future development. This consultancy will support UNJSPF in assessing current CSR-related practices, benchmarking selected activities, identifying strengths and gaps, and developing practical recommendations and a multi-year roadmap. The assignment will also produce a baseline CSR report and a structured reporting framework and template that can be maintained and updated on an annual basis. The objective of the consultancy is to support UNJSPF in developing a comprehensive internal Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report and a sustainable reporting approach by: • assessing current CSR- and sustainability-related practices across the organization; • conducting benchmarking against selected comparable organizations and relevant practices; • identifying key strengths, gaps, opportunities, and areas for improvement; • preparing a CSR report that consolidates existing CSR-related activities and practices across the organization; • developing practical recommendations and a multi-year roadmap to support future CSR development; and • developing a structured reporting framework and reusable template that can be maintained and updated on an annual basis. The assignment will focus on assessment, analysis, reporting, and recommendations, and will not include implementation.
