How can you make a difference?

The Communication Section, UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office (EAPRO) is seeking a consultant to oversee content creation for UNICEF@75 and the Regional Reimagine Campaign and to provide advisory support to the digital communication officer and the UNV digital assistant on the regional external channels (website and social media).

Work Assignment:

Under the supervision of the EAP Regional Communication Chief, the consultant will undertake the following activities:

Content creation: Oversee the creation of content for UNICEF’s 75th anniversary and the regional reimagine campaign.

Advisory role to the digital communication officer and the UNV: Provide oversite and troubleshooting to support delivery of a well-maintained regional website and social media channels.

End Product(s):

1. Timely implementation of projects under the Reimagine Campaign and UNICEF@75.

2. A well-maintained UNICEF website and social media channels.

Duration of Contract: The consultant will be required to work remotely one full day or two half days per week for a period of 6 months during May to November (27 weeks).

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Advanced university degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations.
  • Strong and current knowledge of Communication.
  • Excellent skills for gathering, writing, and packaging critical information, including for digital platforms and presentations.
  • Understanding of writing for a general (public) audience is vital and experience of writing for an internal audience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with UNICEF style, quality, and brand guidelines.
  • General knowledge of the development and rights issues in UNICEF’s mandate and in East Asia and Pacific would be an asset.
  • Fluency in English and another UN language would be advantage.
