You have:
- Advanced degree in law, political science, international relations, social sciences or related field is required.
- Six (6) years of relevant work experience, especially in women’s rights and gender, and its impacts on human rights is required.
- Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.

Duties and Responsibilities
The consultant will:
• Provide specific and relevant thematic expertise in supporting the background research, promoting the inclusion of women’s and girls’ perspectives and experiences in a safe and empowering manner and in supporting coherent and solid drafting of the report on the phenomenon in Afghanistan of an institutionalised system of discrimination, segregation, disrespect of human dignity and exclusion of women and girls. • Organize consultations with other mandate holders, Member States and UN and non-UN experts in coordination with the expert consultant and the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Afghanistan, • Provide support for the enhanced interactive dialogue at the 56th session of the HRC, in cooperation with members of the Special Rapporteur’s team.
Qualifications/special skills
Advanced degree in law, political science, international relations, social sciences or related field is required. Six (6) years of relevant work experience, especially in women’s rights and gender, and its impacts on human rights is required.
Languages
Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
