Result of Service - Finalization of training plans and material. - Finalization of donor reports. - Completion of funding proposals and related research. - Delivery of support concerning meetings and training activities. - Delivery of support concerning preparation and finalization of relevant project documents. - Finalization of ad hoc documents for CCP Regional Coordinator and/or CCP programme management staff when necessary.

Work Location Home based with travel to the Region, including travel to Angola, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, Uganda Dates to be confirmed

Expected duration 86 working days

Duties and Responsibilities - Provide support for the planning and delivery of trainings. - Review, edit, and finalize training materials as required. - Draft reports for donors as needed. - Draft and/or contribute to funding proposals as needed. - Assist in the organization of regional and inter regional meetings as well as coordinate, monitor and oversee training activities in close cooperation with project management, and provide feedback to CCP programme management. - Develop PowerPoint and speaking notes for meetings as needed. - Compile, organize and analyze PCU and ACCU data, work plans and other project documents, research briefs and other relevant materials. - Draft ad hoc documents when required, at the request of the Regional Coordinator and/or CCP programme management staff.

All tasks will be completed in close cooperation with the CCP Regional Coordinator for Eastern and Southern Africa.

Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: - An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in the fields of social science, criminology, political science, international relations, or related fields is required. A first level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree Experience: - Minimum 2 years professional experience in the area of crime prevention, corruption, criminal justice, and organized crime, including the issue of smuggling in shipping containers, or related areas. Working experience with the United Nations or related organizations is desirable. Knowledge of UN practices and procedures is desirable. Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another United Nations Language is an advantage.”
